The North Saddle Creek Business Improvement District (BID) board met on April 3 to discuss progress in the district and begin planning for an exciting summer ahead.
Building the Foundation
The BID is taking steps to strengthen transparency and communication, including publishing meeting agendas, enhancing its presence on the City of Omaha website, and developing a new logo and branding.
Keeping the Corridor Looking Great
Ongoing maintenance of landscaping and public spaces remains a priority. The BID will ramp up caring for streetside areas and are addressing minor repairs, including sod damage, with the contractor. Updates to alley striping are also coming soon, and efforts are underway to improve trash collection coordination.
Planning a Summer Kickoff Event
The board is organizing a community kickoff event. Plans include local food vendors, live music, family-friendly activities, and a possible beer garden. Sponsorship opportunities and event details are currently being developed.
Supporting Local Businesses
The BID is working to engage both district and nearby businesses, with a focus on collaboration, promotion, and creating a vibrant destination along North Saddle Creek.
