The North Saddle Creek Business Improvement District (BID) held a meeting on July 7, 2023, at the Homy Inn with several attendees, including Sue Finkle, Alex Finkle, Deena Hannum, Joshwa Hannum, April Jackson, Molly Kliment-Jenkins, and Steve Pham, along with Don and Eric Janosek.
The meeting commenced at 9:00 AM, with Sue expressing her desire to resign from her position so that Alex could represent Homy, given his business involvement. An application process will be followed to facilitate this change. The city council will have to approve his application.
Several items were discussed for consideration by Ollsen, including Homy parking. There were concerns about streetlights near crosswalks being obstructed by canopies and ideas about trees, trash cans, benches, and bollards to offer protection.
Further topics included lights on Seward and Hamilton, access gates for dumpsters on SC with the possibility of closing Hamilton access and adding parking near the daycare. Pignotti access was also raised during the meeting. Overhead electrical lines that do not serve streetlights were also brought up.
