Public Meeting for Preliminary Plans (30% stage)

Last night, the city planning department and Ollson held a public meeting at the Omar to share the preliminary plans (30% stage) with the community and to receive feedback. We were pleased to hear the positive feedback from members of the public: we did our best to incorporate the features the public felt was important in the public meeting last fall.

There were two map stations set up for the community to see the draft plan, ask questions and make comments.

It was an amazing turnout: most people were standing (not pictured).

Minutes Summaries for 4 & 6 May 2023 Public Input Meetings

We had a good meeting both days in the park getting feedback on a district name. In the end, we decided to embrace the obvious: the Saddle Creek District.

We are applying for ARPA funds for our upcoming development work.  Wish us luck!

As a reminder, our Business Improvement District will be meeting on the First Friday of the month at 9AM at the Homy Inn. The bar will not be open, but Hay Jay Coffee and Saddle Creek Breakfast Club are close by: grab a steaming cup and join us.

Help Us with a Name: Upcoming Public Engagment Meetings

The North Saddle Creek Business Improvement District is seeking input from the community. We are wanting to create an identity for the business district that helps folks find us and drive business to our area.

We will hold two public meetings for area residents to provide feedback to the naming proposals. We are in the process of scheduling so keep an eye out on our blog for the upcoming meeting dates, times and locations.
