A summary of the items we tackled on February 6th:
Budget:
- $15k for BID contribution
- No christmas lights (store for 2026 and put up 2027)
- Trash Service Contract - Dale’s Trash $4400k for year - $3/can, 20 cans, $240/4 weeks
- Dundee, Blackstone and Downtown use Dale’s
- Approved 5-0
- Skip website and neighborhood kickoff party
- Landscaping: Whatever is leftover for watering.
Construction Update
- Walkthrough scheduling for everyone (Vrana, City, us) in late February
- SWIP - process of cleaning out storm drains happening now
- Striping to be done:
- Crosswalks
- Bike Lane - mark on north sidewalk, street side
- Mango Bench - everyone has concerns about where it was placed.
- Landscaping - concerns by Vrana about warm temps causing grass to sprout early and then freezing and not surviving. May need to redo hydroseeding.
Business recruitment - next meeting: how to start outreach to get new tenants.
